October challenge group

I'm on the verge of starting a challenge group titled "Fall into Fitness." Participants choose their beachbody workout and shakeology flavor and are placed into our private Facebook group where we will share triumphs, struggles, recipes and help motivate each other! I am beyond excited to start helping others reach their fitness goals and just become healthy!! Want to join!? Comment below!!

I haven't posted measurements this week because I'm pretty sure I left my tape measure at my sisters, oops! I'll be sure to get them done next week as it is my FINAL week of T25 Alpha Phase. I'm excited and a tad scared to start beta!!

Now onto food, I'm always seeing/reading about people eating chicken sausage in pasta type dishes, do when I saw turkey sausage I thought is give it a whirl. It was amazing!! I was surprised to taste how good it was as I am not a fan of turkey. I just sliced it on top of string green beans with a little Romano cheese and delicious would be an understatement!!

Pumpkin heaven

I've been seeing everyone post about the infamous PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) and I've indulge a few (ok, about 8) times over the past week but no more! I stumbled upon a pumpkin pie shakeology recipe and I tried it today and its AMAZING! The consistency is great, taste is off the charts and it totally kicks my sweet tooth to the curb which is the biggest perk!

You could probably make it with vanilla too although I haven't tried it yet! If you want to purchase a shakeology sample comment or sent me an email! You won't be disappointed!!

Never leaving home again, unless I take a fridge

I'm dreading taking my measurements this week. I was on vacation last week and surrounded by people who don't eat the way I do when I'm home... Needless to say, I'm sure all this progress I made is in the trash. I went to the store and bought a few things but it would have been a PITA to buy a bunch of food and only prepare it for myself. Ugh. Anyways, I didn't miss a workout so I'm happy for that. I plan on starting today or tomorrow training to run a 5k!!!

And vacation happened....

It's no secret that my sister and I are both hard on each others diets. I've been here visiting since Monday and my diet has been lacking. It's not "bad" by any means but its not near as good as it is at home and I can tell. I've still been working out but man oh man I can't wait to get home to start eating superb again. It's depressing. Although I am in control its a total PITA to buy a ton of groceries to prepare food for myself. Ugh. Anyways, enough of the pity party. 

I am planning on starting to train for a 5k. I feel if I add running into my daily routine it will help me de-stress and burn a few more calories!! Anyone have any good tips for preparing for a 5k?! Share!!!

September Goals

I started the month off right by getting in my workout this morning followed by Shakeology! I truly do love Shakeology for a number of reasons.  It's not a processes food, it's FULL of super foods and since it has probiotics in it, it's one less then I need to remember to take!!

Tomorrow I am headed off to visit my sister and I'm a little nervous. Whenever we are together our diets totally lack. I tend to eat a ton of sweets and junk! IF I have a oops day, I plan on doing a double workout. She is trying to eat healthier so I think I'll be ok. I'm 100% committed and I know everything is done in moderation so if I do slip up, I'll choose slip wisely. :)

Week 2 results are in....

Inside jokes.

Do you have inside jokes with anyone that only you and they find hilarious? Growing up I had an amazing childhood and my sister and I spent a lot of time with our cousins. We hung out at my grams house a lot and were always up to something. To this day we will laugh uncontrollably at ridiculous things that only we find funny. My husband thinks we are crazy and doesn't understand but he is just a party poopah! Because every party has a poopah! (Name that movie!)

So what are some of your inside jokes that no one else will understand? 



Working out.. The modified version


As I am recovering from my illness I needed to workout today or else I'd be behind. My usual off days are Wednesday and Thursday, so I took Tuesday off and if I did my workouts today, I'd still get Thursday off! So I did my first of 2 workouts this morning (you do 2 workouts on the day before rest days) and plan to do the other tonight. However, I did do the modified version so that helped immensely! I cannot recommend T25 enough. It's amazing for any one!!

Sick

Today is suppose to be my day of double workouts but to say I'm under the weather is an understatement. I'll be taking today off to rest, do my double workouts tomorrow and off again Thursday. I don't really like having 2 off days in a row anyways, I feel like I've quit! Here's to kicking the crud and feeling better soon!

working out. working hard!

I've still been at it religiously in the workout department and I'm über excited to do my stats on Wednesday! 

Yesterday we decided to check out a fairly new fro yo place near us and it was delicious. It is not a chain place so I wasn't sure what to expect and its in a super small town (less then 1,000 people!) it was a great place!! I had strawberry lemonade sorbet with graham cracker dust (it must have been put in a blender because it was a powder!). It was a non fat option and I love anything lemonade and it didn't disappoint! 

I already have my workout done this morning so I better get onto housework!

Everyday feels like Friday


Since I've become a SAHM I never remember what day it is. I often find myself thinking its Friday. 

Today I started back up working out after Shaun T is too kind at giving you a "break" between weeks. I was done by 8:30 am! I always feel so much better getting my workout done first thing. Whenever I workout at night, MJ always seems to watch me and it irritates me I should put him to work next time and have him take pictures so I can post some!

I am so proud at how far I've come. My diet has done a complete 180. I have a huge sweet tooth and I was always asking MJ to stop on his way home to get me a pop and a "snack." I haven't drank any pop or consumed any sweets since I've started working out. It's a great feeling!

I'm wanting to add yoga into my routine for my off days. Can anyone recommend a good DVD?

Cauliflower pizza..what?

Last night for dinner I made pizza. You're probably thinking how can you eat pizza if you are trying to loose weight?... Well, I made the crust of cauliflower.  It actually wasn't bad! I made 1/2 buffalo chicken for me and 1/2 BBQ chicken for MJ. The worst offender was the cheese and I didn't put a ton on. Who knew buffalo sauce didn't have calories? I NEED to start taking pictures of my workouts and food because let's be honest, this is getting a tad boring! I also have been making "overnight oats." It's great to just wake up and have breakfast ready!!

Today is my day "off" so I'll be at it again tomorrow.  Yay!

The results are in!

After 5 consecutive days of eating a good diet, drinking shakeology and working out with T25 here are my measurements.

Chest: 34"
Stomach: 32.5"
Hips: 39.5"
Left arm: 11.5"
Right arm: 11.0"
Left thigh: 20.0"
Right thigh: 21.0"
Weight: 138.6

I'm pleased with my progress so far. Lets hope it keeps up!

Day 4: Ab intervals

Yesterday was day 4 which is ab intervals. I thought "yesss I finally get to sit/lay down for a workout!" Yeah, I was totally wrong. Shaun T kicked my booty and abs for that matter. 

I'm so proud on how much I've cleaned up my diet. My weakness is sweets so when I find myself wanting to call MJ to bring me a snickers I remind myself that I want to feel good again! Shakeology takes a lot of those sweet cravings away because it tastes like a milkshake! Delish. 

I also made Greek yogurt yesterday and it turned out!! I was thrilled because Mason loves it as do I! I just put a dab of honey it in and we love it. I also replace sour cream with it and its great!!

I realize I need to start adding pictures but my laptops SD card slot is junk and I have an external one that I used at work But along with everything else that's not a daily necessity, its still hidden in a box somewhere and to say I was an unorganized mover is an understatement.

Today is the 2 workout day. I did lower focus this morning and I'll do cardio tonight.  Tomorrow is measurements and I'm excited to see if I've made any progress!!

Day 3. Crushed it.

I did day 3 of T25 today and although it is intense I feel like I'm seeing results already. It could be because I've cleaned up my diet A LOT. I even skipped potatoes tonight which is my favorite food! The thing I love most about T25 (besides only being 25 minutes) is the fact that they always have a modified move if you feel the one they are doing is too tough. 

The shakeology is amazing. I honestly cannot believe how good it tastes.  Delish.  I'm going to try to skinny up a recipe tomorrow night so I'll share that but my favorite snack to date is a whole wheat sandwich skinny (1 slice) topped with 1 tsp whipped cream cheese and fresh blueberries.  It's amazing and only 89 calories!!!

The start of my journey

Welcome to my blog! I am going to post about my fitness journey with T25 and Shakeology. I am a Independent Beachbody Coach so if along the way you want more information, comment or send me an email and I'll get back to you ASAP!

A little about how I got here... I  had 2 kids within 2 years. Gained 45lbs with the first, lost 40, gained 50 lbs with the 2nd, lost 40. I still have a ways to go but I am committed and ready for this lifestyle change! I am doing a 25 minute workout a day (YES 25 minutes, it goes by so quick and its working!), eating clean and drinking Shakeology, which is actually the bomb dot com!
